For Professionals
A Trusted Step-Down Placement After Rehabilitation

The process
From Referral to Reintegration
- 1
Referral
Professionals can refer suitable clients to Kelim House when they require a safe, structured environment to continue their recovery after rehabilitation or as they transition towards independent living. We welcome referrals from rehabilitation centres, counsellors, social workers, psychologists, medical professionals and other support services.
- 2
Assessment
Every referral is carefully considered to determine whether Kelim House is an appropriate placement. We discuss the individual's recovery history, current needs, level of commitment, support requirements and readiness for a structured recovery environment, ensuring that the placement is suitable and safe.
- 3
Placement
Once accepted, the individual is welcomed into Kelim House and introduced to the house environment, expectations, routines and recovery programme. Our aim is to make the transition from treatment or a previous living environment as smooth, supportive and positive as possible.
- 4
Structured Recovery
Residents participate in a structured programme designed to strengthen recovery and prepare them for independent life. This includes recovery education, emotional wellness, therapeutic development, life skills, relapse prevention, personal responsibility, healthy routines and, where appropriate, individual support and employment readiness.
- 5
Reintegration
The ultimate goal is to help residents successfully transition back into independent, productive living. As residents demonstrate stability and commitment to their recovery, we support their progress towards employment, financial independence, healthy relationships and sustainable life choices — helping them move from recovery to real life.
